I Hope To Learn Guitar Notes

There have been several instruments that have caught my eye, but the one that really appeals to me the most is the one that all my favorite songs have as the main musical element. I want to learn guitar notes and be able to play the songs that I listen to the most. It is the one musical skill that would really be portable and fun for me. The piano was fun but certainly did not travel well at all.
