The Mount Rushmore tourism picked up decidedly right after the 9/11 incident and it hasn’t dropped off appreciably since then. When people feel patriotic they like to go see patriotic sights and what could be more so than the faces of four of the best presidents this country has ever had? Some people seem to think that Reagan should be put up there right next to them, and although that might be true I don’t believe that there has been enough time to prove his greatness as of yet. I would give him at least another twenty years and let history continue to write his legacy.
