I couldn’t get student loans without cosigner.
August 26, 2008 7:19 am BusinessWhen I was in college, my grants, scholarships, and federal student loans did not cover all of my college expenses. I had to rely on private student loans. Because I started college right after graduating from high school, I didn’t have a credit history at all. I couldn’t get student loans without cosigner. I had to have a credit worthy family member cosign the loans for me. I have been making my payments on time, but if I were to default on my loans, my cosigner would be responsible for paying them.
