Recently, I was informed by my employer that I would be left go with in the next 12 months. Fortunately for me, our company also instituted a redeployment program — and as a participant I had an opportunity to enroll in some skills development class. I had always wanted to learn how to do HTML coding, to be able to develop my own webpages on the Internet. I was really pleased to find out that I could take courses in HTML and other computer subjects — and now I feel as if I have a much better chance of getting work once my present position has been eliminated.
