Recently, my only parent passed away and I have found myself the heir to more than I know what to do with. Of course, I have the house and the car and the land. But, I also inherited something called an annuity. Unfortunately, this is the first time I have heard of an annuity, and I am not sure what it is, or even what I am supposed to do with it. I really could use some advice. Unfortunately, the lawyer that handled the will did not know what to tell me in regards to the annuity. He must be rather inexperienced, as I am almost certain that other people must have annuities left to them.
