Looking over the internet there does not seem to be consistent information to say whether lyme disease is contagious or not. The fact is that it isn’t as there is no proven cases that the disease has been passed from human to human, or human to animal and animal to human. The disease is a vector borne disease and in this case the vector in question is a series of ticks such as the pesky black legged deer tick. People should be wary about what they believe on the internet as such misleading information could lead to panic if the disease was become any more common.
