I remember my mother telling me that one time when she was little, my grandmother fell backward off a bench, and knocked herself out on a cement floor. After that, she began having seizures. I also remember my grandfather saying that all my grandmother’s doctors ever did for her was prescribe drugs to stop the seizures, rather than looking for what was causing them. My grandmother died three years ago, and I wish she would have known about the whole foods diet Paul Yeager talks about in his book. It may or may not have been the answer to stopping her seizures, but it might have helped her body stay stronger and given her a few more years, or at least made her last ones healthier. I named my daughter after her, but grandma never got to meet my daughter.
