I went out with some friends recenty, a dressy affair as we were going to a few parties and different events. To my surprise one of my friends came out to meet us wearing a Salwar Suit! Salwar suits are actually traditional Indian clothes and I have never seen them worn by a western person to a funciton like that. I have to say I thought she was quite brave, and she certainly drew a few looks! The thing is that she looked fantastic, the suit was bright blue with silver embroidery and she really stood out. She said that she had bought it on holiday and wanted to wear it at least once. I am not sure she will wear it very often though, it certainly was different!
