Toy sales continue to be dominated by the Zhu Zhu pets hamsters and they look like being the number one toy for Christmas 2009. They were only launched by the manufacturer (Cepia) in August and seem to have come from nowhere to take over the sales listings. Currently they occupy no fewer than 8 out of the top 10 slots on Amazon’s best sellers list – for the toys and games category. Availability is becoming scarce in some areas and prices are starting to increase. If you’re planning on giving one of these as a Christmas gift this year then buying early looks like a good idea.
