Three out of four people in the industrialized world today has a mobile phone. Mobile phones are quickly becoming like TVs were fifty years ago. At first they were expensive, and people questioned their relevance in everyday life. Then as they slowly caught on, people began to notice the convenience of them.

Then as they began noticing the convenience, the learned that they couldn’t do without them. If we aren’t careful, mobile phones can quickly become the destruction of our society.

But they don’t have to be. They don’t have to run our lives. By realizing that they are tools which are under our control, we need not worry about the threat of our minds turning into slaves to a simple communication device.
