It was reported early this morning that the toy makers Mattel are thinking of getting into gaming. After the slow down in the market in there toy industry they are considering jumping in with kids game that will promote education. Teaching kids different things such as early shape recognition and actual physical peripherals for hands on training (nintendo r4ds). Is this market viable? Only time will tell. After the Wii’s huge success i do not doubt anything. If they could market it correctly and get the kids on board with simple pick up and play devices then they may have a winner.
