When people on go on holidays to Egypt, they should really visit Aswan and the islands around it. If you go, one takes a short boat ride to the Island from the mainland and pretty much you can wander and tour on your own (no vendors). It has one of the smaller temples in Egypt, but one to be remembered. The temple was rescued from the original Philae Island and moved to where it is now because of the building of the high dam. The island it is on has been made into an exact replica of the original Philae Island. There are also beautiful views from the island in the daytime. It is a serene, spiritual, beautiful place; one that shouldn’t be missed as a get-away from the hustle and bustle of Aswan itself.
